VINTAGE 1947+ TUSCAN FINE ENGLISH BONE CHINATEA PLATE BLENHEIM PATTERN

A gorgeous fine porcelain tea plate, which can be used as a spare or tocomplete a tea trio. The plate was manufactured directly after 1947 by RH&SPlant Ltd under their trade name of Tuscan Fine English Bone Chinabeautifully decorated in Tuscans Blenheim C5817 pattern. The pattern becameone of the most popular and collectable patterns in fine porcelain wares anddisplays a gorgeous green and darker scroll motif along with colourful floralsprays and bouquets along the verge and a gorgeous floral bouquet in thecentre. The plate also has a scalloped gold trimmed rim. The pattern has beendiscontinued. The business began production in 1898 at the Tuscan Works,Longton, Stoke-on-Trent as a partnership between Richard Hammersley Plant andhis brother Simon Lucas Plant. In 1915 the company became a Ltd but in 1966 thebusiness was taken over by Wedgwood and renamed Royal Tuscan.
