Vintage 1950`s Italian Anri `Hat Tipper` Bottle Stopper.

A vintage 1950's hand-carved and hand-painted wooden bottle stopper by Italian company Anri.  This is a fine example of a "hat tipper".  He tips his hat when the ball and string attached to his back is pulled.  In excellent vintage condition and the mechanism works perfectly.

Length :  14 cm

The Italian Anri company made these bottle stoppers from 1912 until the mid 1960's. The earliest were hand-carved by people who lived in the Groeden Mountain area and were made to resemble actual people they knew.
