Vintage 1950s Lanco "Sport" 17-Jewel Manual-Wind Watch

Description: A rugged, mid-century Swiss mechanical sports watch from the traditional brand Lanco. It features a heavily patinated champagne dial with bold, stylized black Arabic numerals, matching syringe-style hour and minute hands, and a thin, red center sweep seconds hand. The dial is signed "Lanco Sport", "17 Jewels / Shockresistant", and "T Swiss Made T" at the base. The mechanical movement is housed in a gold-plated case with a stainless steel screw-down back stamped "Base Metal Case - Stainless Steel Back - Dustproof".

Condition: Pre-owned/vintage project piece. The mechanical movement is currently not running/ticking and is being sold strictly as-is for parts, repair, or restoration. True to its age and active use, the dial shows extensive cosmetic spotting and age patina. The case exhibits significant wear with thinning and loss of the gold plating on the lugs, exposing the underlying base metal. The acrylic crystal lens shows prominent fine scratches and general surface wear.
