Up for auction is an exquisite example of mid-century British vanity glamour.
This vintage lady "Powder" compact was beautifully crafted in Birmingham, England, by the iconic luxury brand Stratton.
Measuring approximately 80mm in diameter, this features the classic gold-toned found casing edge paired with a high decorative, deeply radiant faux-tortoiseshell Lucite lid.
This is a famous "Convertible" design, meaning it was ingeniously engineered to accommodate both loose face powder and modern standard pressed foundation pans (67mm). It is a gorgeous, fully functional addition to any vintage collector or retro handbag.

The "small stars" pattern on the base dates specifically to the 1950s.
