ON AUCTION IS A VINTAGE 1960S CERAMASTER JAPAN KING KONG GORILLA PIGGY BANK. THIS GORILLA DATES FROM THE 1960S. YOU HAD THIS SITTING GORILLA AND ANOTHER ONE THAT WAS BEATING HIS CHEST. OUR SITTING GORILLA HAS A FEW WHITE PAINT SCUFFS BUT HIS RUBBER STOPPER IS STILL THERE.
 
"Ceramaster" was a brand of collectible items from japan in the 1960s and 1970s. Most of their items were coin banks designed as colorful, playful objects, like train banks, animal-shaped banks (piggy banks), or even car-shaped banks. They also made novelty "Retirement Fund" banks, often depicting figures like an old man and woman in a rocking chair or other retirement-themed scenes.
