Description: A highly collectible, premium mid-century Japanese automatic timepiece from Citizen's historic "Crystal Seven" line. It features a silver sunburst dial with an elegant dual-calendar layout: a distinct framed day window at the 12 o'clock position (showing "FRIDAY") and a separate date window at 3 o'clock. The dial is appointed with applied gold-toned baton indices, matching hands, and the classic crowned "7" emblem above the text "33 JEWELS". The watch is housed in a gold-plated case with a stainless steel screw-down back featuring a prominent Citizen crest and the vintage "PARA WATER" designation (Citizen's proprietary term for water resistance used prior to 1971). Case markings include reference ACSS 2812-Y, code C.G.P. (Citizen Gold Plated), and serial number 81200801.
Condition: Pre-owned/vintage project piece. The mechanical automatic movement is currently not running and is being sold strictly as-is for parts, repair, or restoration. Cosmetically, the dial remains highly intact, while the acrylic crystal lens shows a heavy network of surface scratches and age wear. The gold plating on the outer case and lugs exhibits noticeable thinning and wear-through, exposing the base metal beneath.
Sold as a standalone watch head (no strap or spring bars included) strictly as-is.
