 GORGEOUS LARGE VINTAGE 1969 BOHEMIAN DARK RED GARNET CLUSTER RING
9CT YELLOW GOLD. EDINBURGH ASSAY

This vintage 1969 piece is positively majestic! A cluster of 17 deep wine-coloured Bohemian garnets are claw set in 9ct yellow gold in a large (25mm long x 16mm wide) marquise shape ring head. Structure is given to the design with 4 big oval faceted garnets forming a cross with a fifth central one, and cluster of three smaller round cut garnets tucked in each corner, filling the gap to create the marquise shape. A slim gold shank supports the diamond shaped structure that holds the gemstones; 3 horizontal lines on the shank at the shoulders provides interest. The pedigree of the piece is evident in the hallmarks: 375 indicating 9ct gold, the jeweller's signature, the date mark for 1969 and the Edinburgh Assay mark. Beautifully crafted and in good condition, this is a classic piece. It is a big ring head (25 mm long extending up the finger) and is also a large ring size (9/half or British and SA size 'S and three quarters).
