This is a Polaroid SX-70 Land Camera, an iconic vintage instant film camera originally sold from 1972 to 1981. It is well-known for its unique, "ingenious" folding design that allows it to collapse for portability and pop open when ready for use.
Camera Details
Model Variants: The image specifically shows an original SX-70 Land Camera, which typically features a matte finished chrome body and brown leather-like panels. Later versions included the Alpha 1 (released in 1977) which added features like a tripod socket and strap mounts.
Film Type: It is designed to use Polaroid SX-70 Land Film. While some enthusiasts modify these cameras to use modern 600 film, standard operation requires the lower-sensitivity SX-70 film.
