Vintage 1973 Gillette Super Speed Black Handle Flare Tip TTO Closed Comb Double Edge Safety Razor.

The Gillette Company was founded by King C Gillette in 1901 and the first Gillette safety razor was patented on 15 November 1904. Gillette has transformed shaving forever and every man owned a Gillette during this era.

Over the years Gillette razors have become sought after and have become collectible items. To this day, the slogan "Nothing shaves like a Gillette" holds true. Gillette had manufacturing facilities all over the world, but the real collectible ones came from the USA and the UK. There are websites dedicated to the dating of Gillette razors.

Probably the most popular and best selling Gillette's ever made. Considering that it is 44 years old, it is in excellent condition and well looked after. There are some fine scratches on the head, but to be expected after 44 years' of use. A true gem which would last at least another 44 years. Do not miss the opportunity to own a piece of history!

There is a HUGE resurgence worldwide to the traditional wet shave. And the reasons are simple:

1) The best shaves ever
2) Very cheap
3) Very satisfying - nothing  like a clean shaved face
4) The nostalgia, the ritual and the smell
5) One has to get up 10 minutes earlier, but the whole experience is worth it!

And ask yourself the question: Why do all professional barbers worldwide still use traditional shaving tools? So come on people, join the millions who know what a shave should be like!

Here is a nice video tutorial on a DE safety razor shave - check it out!:
