VINTAGE 1978. REAL RUBIES 0,36ct YELLOW 9ct GOLD CLUSTER RING. ENGLISH HALLMARKS BIRMINGHAM ASSAY
Gorgeous! And really feminine! This is an elegant vintage art deco real ruby 9ct gold ring. The ring was made in England in 1978 and yet the square shaped ring head is rather modern, and works nicely to display the shine of the light raspberry red colour of the rubies! The gemstones are all claw set. The jeweller has added a rather nice and unexpected feature by crafting tiny golden flowers into the claw setting around the central ruby! The band is a simple narrow band that splits into three elongated gold strands before connecting to the ring head - a very nice rise to the crown! It sits 5mm above the finger. Please note the ring size. It will fit a fairly small finger. A pretty and unusual vintage ring!
The ring bears the hallmarks for 9ct gold ( 375 ), the Birmingham Assay Office, and the date mark for 1978.
