THIS SET WAS MADE IN JAPAN AND MARKETED IN SOUTH AFRICA BY TEDELEX UNDER THE BLAUPUNKT LABEL.
One of the companys most popular ghettoblasters, launched in the early 1980s. It contained everything that we love so much in the technology of those years large knobs and switch knobs, dial gauges, 20-cm woofers. It is very well-built. The knobs are metal, and the tape keys have a very smooth, solid action. It weighs over 5.0 kg, not including batteries.
IT WAS MADE IN JAPAN AND MANY OF ITS INTERNAL COMPONENTS ARE SHARED WITH THE CROWN CSC 830F BOOMBOX. Boomboxes were developed in Japan in the early 1970s and soon became popular there due to their compact size and impressive sound quality.
It's a small radio (41cm wide), but it provides more bass than you might expect. It has 4 speakers and the WIDE MODE (BEFORE THE DAYS OF SURROUND SOUND) is a nice feature. This vintage radio has a SERIES OF PHONO AND AUX INPUT SLOTS (PRE USB) on the side where you can connect your Speakers, Microphones, MP3 Player, iPod (via a phono adapter), old computer, record player or turn table, CD player and use the Phono setting on the function switch.
