Vintage "1st Battalion Rhodesian African Rifles" Plaque.

Excellent condition.

The 1st Battalion, Rhodesian African Rifles (RAR), was a premier infantry unit, serving with distinction from World War II through the Rhodesian Bush War. Re-formed in 1946, the battalion served in Egypt, Malaya, and the Congo before becoming a leading counter-insurgency force in the 1960s-70s.
