VINTAGE 5-STONE OPAL 9CT YELLOW GOLD RING WITH BEAUTIFUL ORGANIC DESIGN. WELL HALLMARKED!

This beautiful vintage piece is beautifully crafted in 9ct yellow gold and features 5 x bezel set opal cabochons, varying in size, from the outside inwards, where the central gemstone is the largest. The opals have a wonderful iridescence! The ring head and the shoulders have been worked in a wonderful organic design that leads onto the shoulders; quite Baroque. The 9ct yellow gold shank is narrow under the finger, broadening slightly to the shoulders where the swirled design starts. The ring head measures 20mm across x 6mm long and sits 3mm above the finger. The pedigree of the piece is indicated the many hallmarks: the Birmingham Assay mark, the jeweller' signature, the date 1983 and the 375 hallmark indicating 9ct gold. The piece weighs a good 2.13 grams and sits snugly and comfortably on the finger. A classic beauty!
