The vintage 9ct gold cameo ring is set with an oval (11mm x 8.5mm), carved, shell cameo of a young lady looking right. The cameo is in a slightly raised claw setting. The shoulders of the ring are grooved and have some decoration. The ring is marked 9CT and has another mark which could be OBLO.
OBLO is a name found on some jewellery made in South Africa in the second half of the 20th Century. It appears to be a family-owned jewellery maker which also operates in Australia.
