A LARGE (21CM WIDE), ROUND, AFRICAN CLAY POT OIL LAMP. WITH ENGRAVED PAWPRINT LIKE DESIGN ON THE SIDE AND FOUR DOUBLE INTERLOCKING RING HANDLES.
IT HAS A LID WITH AN AMPLE LENGTH ROPE WICK. YOU JUST NEED TO ADD LAMP OIL AND IT WILL OFFER AMPLE CANDLELIGHT.
IN THE ANCIENT PAST OLIVE OIL, SESAME OIL, NUT OIL, CASTOR OIL, AND OTHER PLANT OILS, AS WELL AS FISH OIL AND MINERAL OIL OR EVEN FAT WERE ALSO USED IN CLAY LAMPS.
SIZE: 21CM WIDE FROM HANDLE TO HANDLE 20CM DIAMETER 19CM HIGH
CONDITION: FEW SCRAPES TO BODY AND LID. LONG ROPE WICK THAT EASILY THREADS THROUGH THE LID. IN GOOD CONDITION.
