SUPERB CUSHION-CUT AMETHYST RING WITH DIAMOND FRAME 10K YELLOW GOLD RING. *JEWELLER'S EVALUATION R18'000*

This eye-catching ring is quite spectacular on the hand! It has a particularly beautiful colour combination. I acquired this gorgeous and solid piece from a favourite vintage jeweller in England. The 8mm cushion cut amethyst is the piece's unusual feature. Measuring 10,5mm long x 10,5mm wide, the ring head also features a frame of 20 x single-cut diamonds claw set in 10ct yellow gold. The colour of the amethyst is just spectacular! The shank is a simple 10K yellow gold band, splitting vertically on the shoulders to support the bridge with scrolled openwork detail that forms the 'cage' supporting the ring head. The piece weighs a solid 3,22 grams and bears the 10K hallmark indicating 10 carat gold, the date hallmark for 2003, the jeweller original mark for 'Mexico' and the jeweller's signature. In addition, the ring was certified and hallmarked in England and also bears the Birmingham Assay mark as well as the 375 hallmark. The piece has been authenticated and valued by an independent jeweller at R18,000 and a certificate to that effect will accompany the piece. A gorgeous ring - a real conversation-piece!
