A striking vintage sterling-silver statement necklace featuring multiple graduated strands of tightly formed twisted chain, finished with two sculptural bead stations.
Each decorative station comprises a large fluted spherical silver bead flanked by polished round spacer beads. The layered strands form an elegant draped or festoon effect when worn, giving the necklace a dramatic vintage European appearance.

The AD mark is attributed to Andreas Daub of Pforzheim, Germany, a long-established German jewellery manufacturer. The precise meaning of the additional circular symbol and capital A has not been conclusively established; these may be factory, control, production-series or inspection marks.
A substantial and unusual signed vintage necklace with excellent decorative appeal.
The necklace consists of several articulated twisted-chain strands arranged in graduated lengths. These are suspended between two matching decorative stations, each centred by a large ribbed or melon-fluted bead.
The fluted beads appear to be hollow silver forms, a normal construction method used to create substantial decorative elements without excessive weight.
The darkened recesses accentuate the twist of the chains and the fluting of the beads, giving the necklace strong depth and texture.
Good vintage condition with surface scratches, natural tarnish, darker oxidation and signs of previous wear consistent with age.
Some warmer-toned oxidation is visible around certain joins and soldered areas. This is commonly seen on aged sterling silver due to the copper content of the alloy and previous exposure to heat during manufacture.
The necklace appears complete, with all strands and decorative components present. The clasp appears intact.

The AD mark is attributed to Andreas Daub based on the visible makers stamp. The circular device and separate capital A remain unidentified, and no unsupported claim is made regarding their precise purpose or date.
