VINTAGE/ANTIQUE STRIDENT GENT FIRE SIREN
MODEL 1500
Restored and mounted with power supply - working great!

This old "The Strident" Gent Model 1500 fire siren was found rusted and abandoned. It was given a new lease on life by completely disassembling it, sandblasting all the steel bits, priming and repainting it fire engine red.
It is mounted on an Oregon pine box that houses the 30 volt power supply. The horn operates on 24-50 volt and the 30 volt power supply delivers more than enough power to make a tremendous noise!
An on/off toggle switch is mounted in front of the horn, so you can keep it plugged in and just flip the switch when the need arises to make some big noise!
The siren itself measures about 14 x 8 x 15cm and the box is 30 x 12 x 8cm.
The exact age is unknown but I am guessing somewhere in the 1950's.
Please have a look at the images to verify age and condition. All questions welcome!
A great item for the collector, for display and to have some fun with now and then!
