14K YELLOW GOLD RING. CLEAN GEOMETRIC DESIGN

This interestingly designed vintage piece features a trillion cut iolite in a rich blue colour bezel set in 14 carat yellow gold with two 'wings' of round cut, small diamonds claw set into white gold on the shoulder area (9 on one side, 3 on the other). The 16mm wide x 8mm long ring head rises 3mm above the finger. The yellow gold shank is nice and solid, narrowing at the back under the finger, broadening on the shoulders. There is quite a lot of gold set around the iolite and diamond ring head, creating a particularly solid feel to the piece. Hallmakrs include the jeweller's signature and the hallmark 14K indicating 14 carat gold. The piece is in good condition with some small buff marks, and weighs 2.41 grams. The ring size is 6 1/2 ('N' in British or South African sizing). A very unusual Art Deco design piece, elegant and clean design. It stacks well with other rings but holds it own as a single piece.
