VINTAGE ART DECO DIAMOND 18CT YELLOW GOLD AND PLATINUM RING. A PRETTY, DETAILED PIECE WITH LOADS OF HISTORY!

This collectable English vintage Art Deco design ring is beautifully crafted in 18ct yellow gold and bright platinum. The platinum runs across the 11.5mm wide x 3.5mm ring head, where a trilogy of round cut diamonds are bezel set at intervals. On either side, a diamond is set in a long isosceles triangle shape running horizontally, the points of the triangles almost touching the central diamond. The ring head is detailed with Art Deco inspired shapes and etching. The simple shank is crafted in 18ct yellow gold, narrowing slightly just before the ring head, where the yellow gold openwork cage supporting the ring head raises it 3mm above the finger. The piece bears the 18ct hallmark and the jeweller's signature. It weighs a dainty 2,01 grams. The design, the jeweller signature as well as the specific font of the hallmark takes it way back into the history of England's vintage jewellery creation, around 1930.  Most likely an engagement ring in its day.
