Vintage! Authentic Australian Returning Boomerang
This unique vintage boomerang is an Aboriginal hunting weapon. They are pieces of wood carved with a slight curve, which makes them more accurate when they are thrown. The heavier ones are more effective in bringing down prey. The hunting boomerang was either the same width from end to end, or had a broad middle and tapered at either end. They could travel at high speeds in the hands of skilful throwers and made effective and dangerous weapons. Well used and well loved.
