MADE BY BAUSCH & LOMB

The lenses are 'B & L' hallmarked, the right lens 'Ray Ban' and the bridge is marked B & L Ray Ban USA. This dates them from the 1980s to the early 90s at the latest.

From 1937 to 1998 Ray Bans were made by an optics company called Bausch and Lomb in USA and France, hence the 'BL' engraving on vintage lenses. The 'Ray Ban' logo printed on the lens only appeared on models from the 80's onwards

- From 1998 to present day Ray Bans have been made by a company called Luxottica in Italy, lenses inscribed with 'RB'

G-15 Gray is a neutral lens that was developed as a result of a navy Air Corps requirement for sunglass lens that would not alter colors. G-15is dark enough for strong glare situations and yet is an excellent lens.
