Vintage Beaded Nippon Ginger/ Cookie Jar with lid, Unmarked ware.
This is a very beautiful fragile beaded piece of Nippon porcelain which is still in a pretty and excellent collectible and usable condition.
Part of the beautiful and delicate designs have been applied by slip. The beads are almost entirely present and the few that have come off over the years are not noticeable unless the item is closely inspected, they are few and far between (my count is 9 missing) and they do not detract from the overall pattern, as they occur singularly and not in sections.
Height jar without lid is 20 cm & with 25 cm.
Diameter taken at widest is 20 cm, circumference is 64,5 cm.
Outside rim is 8,3 cm and inside is 7,3 cm, made with nice thick strong walls. Base is 11,8 cm (4 1/2") and the jar weighs 1340 g.
