Vintage Beyer-Garratt locomotive builders plate number 7215. This old locomotive builders plate dates to 1947. I think it may have come from a Class 15 Beyer Garratt 4-6-4+4-6-4 locomotive, and either owned by SAR or Rhodesian Railways (locomotive 7230 was owned by Rhodesian Railways). It is manufactured from brass, and has "Beyer, Peacock & Co Ltd, 7215, Beyer-Garratt Locomotive, British Patents 298422 - 518251 - 582396, South African Patent 1479/45 and Patents Pending. Manchester, 1947" on it. The plate measures 25cm x 16cm, and is in good condition. Great buy for the collector.
