I took frame to local jeweller who tested and confirmed that frame is genuine sterling silver and that mark (lion passant, cat's/leopard's head and letter s) was for Birmingham silver. Unfortunately never thought to ask them to check easel stand which I assume is most likely also silver but cannot verify. However stand on its own weighs 298g. Photo frame measures 17.5cm x 12.5cm and is in very good condition. Refer images
