Here you can view binoculars with leather case and handstitched hankerchief to clean lenses.  Dated back when manufactured in 1850s to 1860s.   Allen Pinkerton likely carried similar one during the time he spied on South for the North.   Made in France.  This is still in working condition and we got it from a person who stayed in Riversdale and claims that his great grandfarther used this in the Anglo Boer War.   The larger lenses are 60mm in diameter, smaller lenses is 35mm and height of binoculars is 180mm.    A highly collectable item.
