This item dates back to the 1950's

Elizabeth's royal signature is the basis for the illuminated capital letters E and R in her name on the front of the vintage bell, referring to Elizabeth as she referred to herself, Elizabeth R. The R was used by the Queen after her name; it stood for Regina, which is Latin for queen.

The "Metropolitan Police" is  reference to "custodian helmets" or "bobby's helmets," which are iconic headgear worn by police officers in London, United Kingdom. These helmets are characterized by their distinctive shape and have evolved over time, with various styles and materials used throughout their history. The force was formed in 1829 by Sir Robert Peel (hence the nickname "Bobbies")
