Vintage Brass Fob Compass with Sliding Lock made in West Germany c1950

This vintage field compass has a raised, what appears to be plastic, face with chamfered edge fitted to a brass case. The brass case has a hanging ring so it can be secured to a fob chain. The dial is marked with the eight main points but only North and South are labeled. The paper dial is marked with 360 degrees and signed West Germany dating this compass to post WW2. The pointer's tip and and cardinal points have phosphorescent markings to enable the use of this compact at night. It has a Sliding Lock that locks the pointer in place. This compass is in a very good vintage condition and works well. It has a rich patina and has not been polished for a very long time. The new owner can decide if they would like to keep it in this condition or polish it.

The compass has a diameter of about 4.5 cm X 1 cm when the lid is closed. The fob ring adds another 1 cm of length.
