A simple device to measure the heel of a sailboat - vital for optimum sail trim, as well as safety.

This brass inclinometer was made by C. Plath of Hamburg, Germany and is housed in a brass casing mounted on a wooden base. the instrument measures 15cm across. Please note it has no glass cover.

An inclinometer or clinometer is an instrument for measuring angles of slope (or tilt), elevation or depression of an object with respect to gravity. it is also known as a tilt meter, tilt indicator, slope alertor slope gauge

Collection:
