VINTAGE BRITISH ELBIEF OFF-WHITE FAUX LEATHER HANDBAG c1960's

DESCRIPTION:

A semi-matte off-white stitched vinyl three division souré bag, synthetic
black silk interior lining with clear plastic side pouch, gold-tone hinged
hardware and spring-loaded clasp. With the surge of interest in Retro 1950's
and 1960's clothing seen over the past decade, fashionable people of all ages
are buying bags and accessories to give an individual vintage touch to an outfit.
An interesting receipt from La Taverna Restaurant in Lichtenburg was found inside
the bag, it appears as if this handbag was still used in 1981 for a ladies lunch.
The bill was split between Elrina, Sarie, Una, Charetta, Hantie and Dina. A 'Wiennar'
schnitzel cost R6.00, fillet steak R5.90 and Bellingham Johannisberger wine cost R4.60.

CONDITION:

Slight wear, with scuffs to four bottom corners (see close-up images).
