VINTAGE BRODERIE ANGLAISE CREAM LONG SLEEVE SHIRT - pretty flowers machine embroidered. Collar, long sleeves and buttons all the way down. Slits up the sides for about 10cm.
Is a lovely cotton material and I was going to use it to make something else, but have decided not to anymore. Perhaps someone else can see another use for the material.
Been in my cupboards for +- 30 years
By Truworths - Size 36 - Fair condition. Coming undone for about 3cm at one side of the collar, on one side on the slit this has gone a further 2 cm. Has lost a bit of it's shape at the bottom.
Alot of my clothing items are vintage, and as such are 1 of a kind articles with a special kind of beauty. It is often well worth fixing a small tear or replacing a button in order to get something that nobody else will have, originality. A quality item of clothing made years ago is worth much, much more than the same 'piece' of clothing that you can buy today but that costs alot more and falls apart in no time at all. One should bear this in mind when buying Vintage clothes. Alot of vintage is also 'classic' and will go on giving the wearer alot of joy for many years to come. Designs and styles keep coming back, so it is worth investing in nice vintage clothing.
