A vintage, quality estate pipe in the chimney shape by renowned Spanish pipe makers Bruken. Stamped "Bruken" to the shank. Has a removeable "stinger", which is a condensing element of metal placed in the airway. Hot tobacco smoke passes through it, and the cooler condenser is supposed to draw (condense) the moisture on to it, and filter some heavier floating particulates from the air stream. The pipe is in overall good vintage condition. Cleaned and sanitized. Kindly view images above for more detail.
Famed for quality and tradition, the pipe maker Bruken - Sucesores de Emilio Navarro bears one of the most symbolic and significant names in the pipe business in Spain. The company was founded in 1914 by Emilio Navarro Folgado. In the beginning, the grandfather of the current proprietor dedicated himself to the manufacture of finished pipes. In 1935 he expanded his trade by offering half-finished pipe bowls, delivered to many buyers abroad. After his son Emilio Navarro Vilanova, the grandson Emilio Navarro Prosper heads the business today.
I have on auction a large estate lifelong collection of quality tobacco smoking pipes dating from the 1950's to 1980's. Apart from 3 or 4 of them (faults mentioned specifically) the condition is good to very good. The collection has clearly been well-maintained and lovingly cared for.
Length : 13cm
