A vintage bracelet containing seven small hand-carved shell cameos, each depicting a Roman god or goddess representing a day of the week. The cameos are set in 800 silver with a twisted thread of gold around each frame. Country of origin unknown, but probably Italy. Size of each cameo: approx. 16 x 12 mm. Condition good.

The gods and goddesses depicted are:

Monday – Diana, goddess of the hunt; Tuesday – Mars, god of war; Wednesday – Mercury, god of trade and protector of thieves; Thursday – Jupiter, king of the gods; Friday – Venus, goddess of love and beauty; Saturday – Saturn, god of agriculture; Sunday – Apollo, god of the sun, art and medicine.
