An old Carl Zeiss Jena electrical loupe / magnifier.
The piece has the original electric flex, a lovely ceramic switch and a modern 5am SA plug attached. I have not tried it, but can tell you the switch has a satisfyingly solid "click"! I don't know if the blue bulb is working or not. It has an adjustable screw thread lens. Difficult to be sure, but it looks as though there is a slight crack to the side of the lens, but it does not interfere with the view. The base of the "hood" is approx 95mm diameter.
