Vintage cased Sheaffer Snorkel White Dot fountain pen - made in Australia

Vintage cased Sheaffer Snorkel White Dot fountain pen - made in Australia. I would date this unusual pen to the 1950s. It is black with a brushed steel cap, and has a palladium-silver alloy nib. It uses a thin filling tube that extends and retracts from underneath the nib in the front of the feed, allowing the pen to be filled without getting the nib wet. The pen is in fair (untested) conditon, and the snorkel portion extends and retracts nicely when end knob is turned. Great buy for the collector.
