Vintage cast iron double glue pot and lead smelting spoon for 1 bid. The old cast iron glue pot is a double pot, and I would estimate that it was manufactured in the 1930/40s. These glue pots were used when carpenters still used hot glue, and the ingredients would have been heated in the inner pot. It is marked BH No 4/0 on the bottom of the outer pot, and 9/16 Pint on the bottom of the inner. The lead smelting spoon is cast iron, with 2 poring grooves on the edges. It is 10.5cm in diameter and 30cm long including the handle. Both items are in good solid condition, although they have some surface rust. Great deal - 1 bid for both.
