Vintage Cast Iron Wall-Mount Corn Sheller - Enterprise Manufacturing Co. No. 2

This is an authentic piece of American agricultural history, a circa 1900 wall-mount corn sheller likely manufactured by the Enterprise Manufacturing Company of Philadelphia, PA. These shellers were essential tools on farms, used to quickly and efficiently remove kernels from corn cobs.

Key Features:

  • Material: Heavy, durable cast iron, suggesting it was built to last a lifetime.

  • Design: Features a hopper for feeding the corn cobs, a spiked shelling disc, and an adjustable tension mechanism.

  • Markings: The casting clearly shows the model number "No. 2" and what appears to be the date "1903" or a very similar year (other images show markings that could relate to a patent date of 1898). Note: You will want to verify the exact model and patent dates.

  • Display: Currently mounted on a piece of rustic wood for easy wall display. The original hand crank with a wooden handle is intact.

  • Condition: Excellent, aged rustic/patina condition with surface rust consistent with its age and use.

This item is no longer just farm equipment; it is a highly collectible piece of industrial farmhouse decor and an excellent conversation starter for a kitchen, garage, barn, or patio.
