Vintage Castle wooden Scarborough fishing reel with brass detail. The Castle company operated in Cape Town from the 1940's to the 1970's according to some research that I have done. They made good quality Scarborough reels. This wooden reel has beautiful solid brass features, including the one part of the spool. The reel is 11cm in diameter, and is in excellent condition. Unfortunately one of the handles has a piece missing, but is still functional. A great buy for the collector.
