A set of very old and beautiful wood chessmen, lead weighted with felt under.
All the pieces are original, however the tops of the two kings are missing, and tiny notches have been made to the top of the black king to make it stand out. They are repairable. Please see photographs.
The queens measure approx 5.5cms tall with a base diameter of 2.5cms. They come in an attractive velvet lined box /chessboard. This is a complete ready-to-play set and would make a fabulous gift.
