Chinese - Dragon / Chrysanthemum - JingDeZhen - Translucent Rice Eye - 4 Rice Bowls
This is a beautiful vintage Chinese porcelain blue & white rice grain/eye rice bowl made in JingDeZhen from the 1940s, 3 with Dragon and 1 with with a Chrysanthemum design. Decorated with a band of pierced foliate diaper covered with a clear glaze, creating a translucent rice grain effect, below an underglaze blue diapered pattern band and above a band of leaves, the interior with a border of bats and repeating geometric forms below the rim and a central roundel enclosing a dragon writhing around a flaming pearl, surrounded by flames.
MATERIAL : Porcelain HALLMARKS / SIGNATURES : " MADE IN CHINA" , with the characters for China, 'JingDeZhen' SIZE : 10cm diameter , 2.3cm height
