A vintage Chinese lead crystal vase skillfully hand-cut and beautifully reverse-painted.  Reverse-painting is the art or method of painting on the back of a glass panel in which the details are done first so that the finished work may be seen correctly from the opposite side. It requires a tremendous amount of precision and skill.  This particular scene is of a family of Panda bears surrounded by bamboo shoots and flowers.  Rendered in vivid colours and in pristine condition.  Circa 1950's.
