VINTAGE COLEMAN PARAFFIN LANTERN NUMBER 249 - PLEASE READ ABOUT CONDITION - POSTAGE R50

 Vintage Coleman Paraffin Lantern Number 249.

Please note that the lantern would need servicing before it would work. It has not been tested and may need parts replacement.

The faults that I can see are as follows:

1) The side screws or split pins where the pump mechanism goes into the lantern are missing.

2) The pump leather seal would need replacement.

3) The nut at the top of the lantern is not original to the lamp and the thread of the bolt has damage. It does however secure down.

4) The enamel paint at the top has cracked and worn off from the heat over time.

5) The bottom of the lantern has some or other sort of caked on residue.

A new glass has been fitted. It does not have the Coleman logo on.

At the bottom of the lantern has been engraved "No KNW 72" which is not shown in the photos.
