Vintage collectable GBD London made Autumn Gold Zulu shape smoking pipe (pre-Cadogan era)

From one of the renowned English pipe makers, this verysweet example of the Zulu (2871) shape has the oval brass rondelle GBD stemlogo which suggests it was made in the so-called Pre-Cadogan era, afterwhich the production standards sadly dropped off dramatically.

Some very fineswirling birds eye grain and a translucent,dark amber coloured stem come together to embody an Autumn feel.The pipe is in superb condition with no serious blemishes.
