This little sewing macine is in a good clean secondhand working condition. It is made in Japan and is probably from 1950'-60's I tested it with batteries and the light is working. it should work with hand-turning. The battery cover is lost but is not essential to hold the batteries. batteries are not included.It takes 2, D batteries
