This beautiful tin (tin lid with plastic base) was made in France and is beautifully decorated with a couple sharing a tasty treat.

We found the following information about what this tin used to contain: In the heart of the Benedictine Abbey in Flavigny, this tasty little treat has been made since 1591 according to the same recipe as it always has been. Delicious bonbons made from green aniseeds of the highest organic quality.

The tin is in a very good vintage condition with some wear consistent with age and use, but no damage. Inside the tin is a Yardley London Find Snaps logo. We doubt it belongs to this tin, but as they were found together like this we thought it best to leave it as is.
