GILT COLONIAL PENDANT: ALL IN ITS VINTAGE SHAPE AND SPRING CLIP LIGHT AMBER SHADE FOR ITS SINGLE GLOBE
Well-aged and still in good working condition
The popularity of the style and shape of the vintage colonial pendant still inspires its production today in a straight lined and sterile, minimalist style.
Its vintage design commences from the bottom with a finial and a round (bulb like) feature out of which stems two supporting arms.
The globe feature consists of an ornate “crown” in which the globe is placed.
A shade of very light amber glass rests on the crown and surrounds the globe placement.
Two ornate arms curl upward and are secured to a round top feature with scalloped-like edges and opening at the centre.
The centre opening of the top feature permits light to be emitted upward.
The top feature of the pendant is finished of with two additional supporting arms which curl up toward a floral shaped adornment.
The floral crown houses the attachment for the chain which extends to the ceiling rose attachment.
