A beautiful vintage brass and copper "doofpot", with porcelain handles and knob. It dates from the first half of the 1900's and is in good condition. This was generally used by the Dutch people to smother embers and coals, to be used again the next day. Total height: 34 cm; bowl diameter: 22 cm; width from handle to handle: 32 cm. A lovely centrepiece.
