Vintage Copper or Brass Mens Ring with Silver Metal Voortrekker Monument 3D Relief Design on Head/Crown Size 19mm

ON AUCTION IS A VINTAGE COPPER OR BRASS RING. IT HAS A SILVER METAL 3D DESIGN ON THE CROWN FEATURING THE VOORTREKKER MONUMENT. RING HAS A DIAMETER OF 19M WHICH IS A COMFORTABLE MENS SIZE. IT HAS TWO SPOTS ON THE SIDES (POSSIBLE CHEMICAL TEST SPOTS) BUT IS OTHERWISE IN GOOD CONDITION.
 
The Voortrekker Monument consists of a granite building that is 131 feet (40 meters) tall. Inside this building is a large, high hall known as the Hall of Heroes. The hall contains marble carvings 9 the world's largest continuous marble frieze) that show scenes from the Great Trek. The Voortrekker Monument is the only Afrikaner monument declared a Grade 1 National Heritage Site after 1994.

VOORTREKKER MONUMENT:
The Voortrekker Monument is located just south of Pretoria in South Africa. The granite structure is located on a hilltop, and was raised to commemorate the Voortrekkers who left the Cape Colony between 1835 and 1854. It was designed by the architect Gerard Moerdijk. The Voortrekker Monument was officially opened on December 16, 1949. Construction began with the laying of the foundation stone on December 16, 1938. The Voortrekker Monument features the world's largest marble frieze, a daily sunbeam that hits the cenotaph on December 16th, and is surrounded by a nature reserve and 64 ox-wagon sculptures. 
WORLD'S LARGEST MARBLE FRIEZE: 
Inside the Hall of Heroes is the world's largest continuous marble frieze, consisting of 27 panels depicting the history of the Great Trek. 
THE "SUNLIGHT BLESSING": 
A unique optical design allows a shaft of sunlight to shine through an opening in the dome and strike the cenotaph on December 16th at noon, symbolizing a blessing on the Voortrekkers. 
SYMBOLIC FLAME: 
A lantern in the cenotaph Hall holds a flame that has been burning since 1938, representing the lasting civilization of South Africa. 
64 OX-WAGONS: 
The monument is surrounded by a wall of 64 granite ox-wagons, symbolizing the traditional laager (defensive circle) used by the Voortrekkers.
