Vintage decommissioned GEC street light for restoration. Bought on auction, I would estimate that this old General Electric Company (GEC) street light dates back to the 1970/80s. The light consists of the light and shade in the front, and the electrical box at the back. It is manufactured from aluminium and would have fitted onto the top of the street light pole. The light is large measuring 64cm total length and 32cm wide at the light end. The light needs restoration and cleaning, and would need to be re-purposed for domestic use. However would make a lovely talking point as lighting in your bar or braai area.
