Presenting this lovely large vintage Delfts Blauw made by Giptech globular vase. (Also known as a bellied or spherical vase)
It is decorated with traditional hand-painted Dutch scenes and floral motifs. The decoration includes a central medallion on the side depicting sailing boats on water and distant windmills, bordered by elaborate floral patterns around the edge, neck and base of the vase. These Dutch pastorals and seascape scenes are common in Delftware designs.
Marks - "GIPTECH, MADE IN HOLLAND" and the number "100/1" This type of pottery is part of the traditional Dutch blue and white ceramics style, often called Blue or Delfts Blauw, known for its cobalt oxide decorations. Hand-painted with traditional blue design. Dutch Delft Faience.
